Since I started my degree in Musicology at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, I have become increasingly sensitive to the relationship between Art and Humanity, as one influences and represents the other. While I was in university I worked in a movie theatre, having had the opportunity to “meet” several times with the attempt to represent reality through the image.
It is from this combination that my interest in photography emerged, as well as my need to represent Humanity. My path organically began with the desire to capture the performing arts, valuing photography as a form of immortalization of the shared moment between the artist and the spectator, in the form of art.
Later, my will evolved to a bit more complex need to express myself. I realized that this was a powerful vehicle to connect with people, places and environments and also a way to see things differently, to understand, question and represent the world around me.
